Serious Bobcats Fans Frequent Hobby Lobby

Real Bobcats Fans Not the Real Gerald Wallace
DJ Knows How to Turn the Tables

The Cats pull out a win tonight at the Cable Box over the Pacers. [Recap :: Box Score] The game was somewhat boring, so I was more intrigued by the artistic talent that we spotted across the arena. Now, us Baseliners claim to be Bobcats fans, but we’ve never gone so far as to construct a semi life size cardboard model of Gerald Wallace. Nor have we ever made a sign for Augustin that reads “DJ Knows How to Turn the Tables” (note: that is real vinyl  mounted on the poster). This is serious craftsmanship

But these are serious Bobcats fans. These are the same dudes that produced the infamous Gerald Wallace “Game Blouses” sign that we’ve been gawking at all season. For those not familiar, “Game Blouses” is a reference to a Chappelle’s Show skit where Charlie Murphy gets dominated by Prince in a game of basketball. Google Video clip here.

Guys, if you’re out there, we would love a scan of your blouses sign…also, you are welcome here at the Baseline anytime…your job title will be Senior Headline Writers and G-Force Cardboard Specialists.

We can offer a steady salary in high fives.

Wow, i consider myself a serious cats fan. I was one of the forerunners of the band waggon 5 years ago (theres still some space). But the farthest i ever went was filling out 150 all star ballots last year. Good work on the props ppl.

And i would love to see the blouse sign. I love that skit.

Anyway, good win. Im feeling a 38-41 win season. Gerald looks (well, i still cant watch the games on tv) normal so we should be back to domination. And how could the game be boring with “12 minuets of energy!!!”

Keep up the good blogging too guys.

    Mixmasta, cut fasta…

Ironic as I was thinking about DJ’s name today in that context for the first time. “DJ Augustin” sounds like some third rate “Bass Ninja” dj from St. Augustine circa 1991. These days he spins mostly deep house down on Caye Caulker for european backpackers. Ridiculous.
